Welcome back to the Fastbrakes blog. It's been way too long since I have updated the activities we at Fastbrakes have been involved in so I'll make it brief.

In the past few years the market for brake upgrades has changed dramatically, especially in terms of the core kits we make for the 1988-2000 Honda Civic. Many of those cars have now been passed down to their 3rd or 4th owners and they are no longer being modified with engine swaps etc. As a result our business has shifted to the newer cars as well as the Accords and the Acura TSX and TL.

There are still plenty of the early Civics out there but they are now at least 18 years old, which means they are getting a bit worn out. In light of this we have decided to venture into a slightly newer market and are now working on the 2007+ Honda Fit as the platform of the future.

The Fit is a popular car, and now that they are over 10 years old they are plentiful to use as projects. We have stated a new project on a 2007 Fit; swapping in the new 1.5 Turbo engine from the 2016+ Civic. Working with Hasport, we have already converted the Fit to the 11.6" 4 piston front brake kit as well as converted the read drums to discs. Next step is to get the engine mounts made by Hasport and drop in the motor and transmission.
We are also installing a lot of other parts to make the Fit a capable track car, and we'll detail that in the next few posts. Stay tuned for more projects and kit updates for a lot more cars.
